The Starbuck's couple !

Starbucks Coffee CompanyI always like a cuppa after my dinner, ALWAYS !!! I guess it's like a smoker who just loves that cigarette after their meal.....

This, of course, is VERY normal at home. Here however, not so normal,.... and such was the case after a nice meal we had last Saturday night in a trendy Mexican Restaurant in our local village, if you could call it a local village?! .....more like a trendy purpose built shopping/eating area where some of the beautiful people of North Texas hang out, and a lot of nice families too !

Anyway as i was saying, the cuppa was required so i persuaded the Soldier to toddle round the corner to Starbucks.  The night was warm, there was a band playing outside on the street, Munchkin was dancing and everything was going swimmingly.  I sat there thinking "this is the life" and i could sense Soldier was feeling it too......outdoors, 80+ degrees and not a care in the world, except to decide what kind of Sunday dinner we might have.

Right in front of where we were sitting a large black 4 x 4 had parked and i was admiring how shinny it was when suddenly this lady shouted out of the window "Hey, where did you get your stroller?" I looked behind me to see if she was talking to someone else but there was just a great big Starbucks window behind so it was me, and yes i did have my Quinny with me. I stood up and said "oh hi!" Yet again, an encounter with a friendly Texan! :-) I I didn't have time to answer when she started shouting at a guy who had just come out of Starbucks and walked in front of us "Hey honey, look, look, look, she's got my stroller!" and he gave us a big smile. "This one's come all the way from Ireland actually" i shouted back. "Oh" she said "it's just i have never seen anyone else with one, we got ours on line".

He turned our way and produced a big smile;
"Enjoy your evening" he waved and brought the coffee to the car.

We thought nothing of it until about 10 minutes later, the black 4 x 4 appeared again, right back in the dame parking space in front of us.  He must have forgot the sugar i thought.
With that he got out of the car and came straight up to Soldier handing him his business card

"Hey, my wife insisted we come back, i take it you guys are not from here?"
No of course not, the Scottish and Irish accent gives us away just a teeny bit.
"Well we know what it's like to be new in town so here's my card and why don't you give us a call for lunch or drinks sometime?  We moved here from Arizona last year"

I couldn't believe it!... and these guys are not even Texan!  She got out of the car, beautiful long blonde hair, typical of the American girl and was carrying a well cooked bun in the oven.   They chatted for a while and then re-enforced that we must meet up, got back in their car, and took off into the evening.

I looked at Soldier who was still staring at the card
"How nice was that?" he smiled at me in disbelief
"Not here a wet day and yet again we make friends, think i could get used to this life"i sighed as i sipped my lovely after dinner cuppa.
